Went shopping today, and saw a shop I hadn't noticed before. Some Oxfam Music Store. I expected the stuff in there to be a bit rubbish, as it was a charity shop, but hoping for good bargains, I went in anyway.

The first thing I noticed was that there were various singles available for 99p each, or £5 for 10. So I looked closer, and found the following singles:

"Nothing" by A (Just CD1)
"Wherever I May Roam" by Metallica (Just CD2)
"Wake Up Boo!" by the Boo Radleys
"Prayer" by Disturbed (Just CD1)
"Wonderful" by Everclear
"Dogboy Vs. Monsters" by Flipron
"How's It Going To Be" by Third Eye Blind
"The Power" by H-Blockx (Snap! Cover)
"The Class of 1994" Mini-Compilation, with tracks by Pearl Jam, The The, Sultans of Ping, Apollo 44 and Jam & Spoon
"I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" by Aerosmith

5 pounds for all of those is pretty good, I think.

BUT WAIT!

That is not all Very Happy

I got some albums too!

"Volume 3: The Suliminal Verses" by Slipknot
"Steal This Album!" by System of a Down
The Trainspotting Soundtrack

I've left the best until last. Just as I was about to pay (15 pounds for all that!), I noticed a little box. Not just any box, a very large CD case. I had found a compilation album, called "The Metal Box". 3 CDs, 3 hours and 17 minutes of songs by loads of the best metal bands ever. For only £4.99. Usually, people donate second hand junk to Oxfam, but this was, on close inspection, clearly never used. The sew-on badge that come with it was still there, along with a booklet with stuff about all the bands in the compilation, and all the CDs were in perfect condition.

£20 for all that.

I. Love. Oxfam.
