First things first. Create a rough outline.

Then you're ready to make up a story! Yes, the story come next. This is so you can have encores and songs and stuff that doesn't look retarded with the venues. Retarded example:

Venue: OzzFest.
"Lithium" by Nirvana
"Smells Like Nirvana" by Weird Al
"Money" by Pink Floyd
"Blue Collar Man" by Styx
"Party" by Boston
Encore Effect: dude! fire! and blood!
Encore: "Metal Guru" by T.Rex

That would NOT fit the OzzFest motif in the slightest.

Next come the songs. Make a list of all the bands you want to use. Then get songs. Then tier them, and make a handful encores. But make sure that no tier is one genre! ESPECIALLY NOT THE FINAL TIER. Lists need DYNAMIC.

Then you're almost done! Next is the embelishments, and revision.

Then you post it and we're all happy! Yay!
