fire pokemon are a rare treat in the game.

And steel coat isn't til you beat the Pokemon League. You get it on the ship.

UPDATE: Beat Team Rocket at their underground base in Mahogony town. Now I have to beat the gym leader there. yay

Drowzee is so close to evolution. and everybody else is doin' alright.

Also, I've decided to abandon using Quagsire. but for who? wait and see.

Well the best thing about a Yanma is the speed, and even then he's not the fastest. But because they're flying they're completely immune to Ground. Rock attacks will destroy them though. Heracross is a better choice all in all, and Pinsir is ever so slightly better than Heracross. This is going by stats now.

Here's the scoop:

I decided to replace corsola again, but for my old Gastly
trained and trained, got a haunter, realized that Gengar and Haunter learn moves at the same time, so I trade evolved...
Beat Claire for my 8th badge. Once again, my weak replacement pokemon wins the battle for me! Go Gengar!
Since none of my guys know Waterfall of Whirlpool, I have to have a weak tag-a-long for the way to the Pokemon League, and get rid of one of my strong guys for the trip. Sorry Hypno.

BTW, I also got a Master Ball...

Should I get Lugia?

Save the Master Ball for Suicunne, Raikou, or Entai. I caught Lugia When i battled the elite four, but i only used it once because my Persian destroyed everyone

Is trading Chikorita and Cyndaquil into my game considered cheating?

Tesla, Loudness, and Montrose are three quarters of my Elite Four winning team. As soon as I decide on a Fire type and level these guys up I'll be set.

For Fire, there's:

Magmar
Vulpix / Ninetails
Ponyta / Rapidash
Flareon
Cyndaquil / Quilava / Typhlosion

Now I loathe Magmar, my trading isn't work so Ninetails and Flareon are out, Typhlosion is... well... I might breed a new one and train them up.

But right now Ponyta / Rapidash is looking likely. It doesn't learn Flamethrower, but I can breed it to learn Flame Wheel. Where as the stupid Vulpix I can't trade has known Flamethrower for 6 levels

Beat Elite four with Ho-Oh and Feraligatr(and a little Alakazam).
