| Today, we had Pep Band, where some school band members play before a basketball game. The trombones decided to not show up, so they needed some more people playing lower parts, so I played Baritone. The fingerings were exactly the same as trumpet, so it just took a mouth adjustment.
Overall, a cool instrument. I played a TC baritone, which one do you play?

| AWESOME! I feel like such a band ass kong but I love playing(not marching -_-).I play BC.I might be able to play TC but I think The middle C on the TC parts is played as Bflat (Therefore G on the staff would be played as A) so it would confuse me and that ain't cool. Although ,once, at a competition, they were handing out parts and I got Baritone TC, so while the band was playing music I was bullshitting my part and it came out alright.
Anyways, pretty cool, I'm also curious as to A.Were you playing a Euphonium or Baritone B.Was it compensating or non compensating C.Was it a marching model? and D. What model mouthpiece were you using.

| Well, baritone's were originally made because bands had too many trumpets, so they wrote the music in the same key and in the same clef.
Anyway, The baritone I used wasn't a marching model. I don't know what the difference between a baritone or a euphonium, so I can't really answer that question, and I don't know the other answers either. It was the school's baritone, and I just used it for that one show.

| Well, I played it for just a little bit...
I warmed up doing a C scale on the instrument, but by the end of the night I had hit a high G and went down to a low A.

| How low an A? on the staff low a or really *fucking low A. Were you playing a compensating(the fourth valve is on the side of the instrument) because the inotation on the lower notes are perfect. How long have you been playing horns? | |

| I've been playing french horn since fifth grade, started trumpet in between 8th and 9th grade, and now I've been playing Sax for just under a year.
Anyway, I'm not really sure what a low A on a TC baritone and a low A on a BC baritone is, so I can't really answer the question. And I really didn't look at the instrument, but I'm pretty sure it was not a compensating baritone.

| Hmm... was middle C played with your fourth valve? If so, was the A you played the A immediately below that C? | |
