| I've been wanting a seven-string axe for a while now. Here's a nice one for under 200 with a locking trem, ash body, 24-fret rosewood fingerboard and 2 humbucking pups.: But instead of the "usual" way of playing with the added low B (BEADGBE), I wanted to add a high A string (EADGBEA) and get super-high notes. I'd have to get a super-thin string like a .007 so it can handle the tension. This is just an experimental side-project I've been wanting to do along with some other extended-range builds. Then there's a back-up six-string I've been needing. There's an RG I've had my eyes on: Or this Kramer: Both are "shreddy" guitars, like my main ESP, with 24-frets, a locking trem and two humbuckers, but unlike the ESP, the guitars have maple fingerboards and a single-size pup in the middle position (which offer pretty cool tonal options). The RG's set up HSH with a five-way switch and a basswood body, while the Kramer's got two dual-coils in the bridge, one dual-coil in the middle and two in the neck, with coil-tap options for splitting the humbuckers into single coils and an alder body. The RG sounds pretty fantastic, The Kramer I have yet to play. The axe I finally settle on I plan on using as an backup alternately tuned guitar. I'll keep one in standard and one in Eb tuning. | |

Also, that first 7 string looked pretty nice.

| That Kramer seems very nice, yes. Out of the Ibanez and the Kramer, I'd choose the Kramer. | |

Well, the Floyd on the Kramer isn't original. It's licensed. I was a little weary about the Edge III, but I've heard good things and it isn't looking too bad anymore.

| Eh. I'm gonna get an S when I have enough money because I like the ZR trem. If I get even more money though I'm ordering a Carvin V220 or an ST300 | |

| I think I'll just save up for the V220M or get an ESP with EMGs and an original floyd. | |
