After a year-long hiatus, The Taylor Maddox Band returns to the music scene and releases the heavily-hyped album "The Devil's Apprentice", with new member Brian Peppers on bongos.
"I've been a big fan since I was a kid," says Brian Peppers. "I listened to 'Don't Steal My Money' over and over again on my record player until it burst into flames. To contribute to the TMB sound with an instrument as epic as bongos is more than an honor."
"We like this kid", boasts singer Taylor Maddox. "He has this quality to his bongo playing... something that would make any lady pregnant with one listen."
On the actual album, Taylor Maddox explains "It was written pretty fast, actually. All in less than a week. We just delayed it and went on hiatus because Nick [bassist Nicholas Gramm] had a baby, so we didn't want anything too hard on him. I personally enjoyed this album." When asked about a future album, Taylor Maddox responded "We do plan on writing new stuff. We'll probably only release another album or two before taking a really long break."
When asked to comment on the recent departure of former Runtime Error guitarist Eifion Lewis, Taylor said that "he was a good friend and a helluva guitar player. We do plan on keeping him in our hearts on our next album."
"The Devil's Apprentice" has recieved generally positive reviews, and is a lot better than their most recent dissapointment, Alpha Gemini. "The Devil's Apprentice" has sold nearly a million copies within its first weekend.
