| From "Rolling Stone Magazine"
After the reunion show at the Pollution is Really Really Funny gig, Runtime Error seemed to be doing quite well. Rumors abound, saying they may have a recorded an album during that time when they were together. But now, the band has decided to split up again. Jake Adjutant has stated that, "My solo tour has been going so well, I wouldn't give it up for the world."
With Adjutant and Cactus, Adjutants bassist, not in it anymore, Brandon Lehman and Eifion Lewis have decided to collaborate, along with Runtime Error drummer Simon Phillips. Former Deep Purple and Whitesnake keyboardist, Jon Lord, had been invited to join the band, to which he responded, "This is a great day in my family's history!" The only speculation is the vocalist. Also, the band members come from quite diverse sections of the rock spectrum, so I decided to go straight to them for questions:
RS: Everyone's a-buzz about Jelly Roll, but no one knows what kind of music you guys will make. What genre will you guys shoot to create? Brandon Lehman: I was hoping to make some nice jams Eifion Lewis: really-good rock Jon Lord: I like the idea of blues jams. And lots of dueling solos Simon Phillips: I think it should definitely have different key signatures. Those always keep me on my toes. Steve Lukather: I think we need some good, but kind of generic riffs. EL: Are you crazy man!? JL: He has a point. The more generic, the more memorable. Smoke on the Water anyone? EL: But that song was lame. BL: I thought the solo was cool
RS: GUYS! GUYS! Settle down! Fans have also noted that you haven't come out and said who the vocalist will be. The only one here with notable singing experience is Mr. Lehman. BL: Well, I guess, If I have to. SP: Jinz! You did a great job in RE! Remember that time Jake got sick in the middle of a song, and you stepped in and sang his part an octave higher than normal? that was special man. SL: That was special, I agree. EL: I must have been gone that day. Anyway, Brandon will probably end up doing vocals, if we even have vocals.
RS: Does this mean we should look forward to an instrumental sound from Jelly Roll? EL: Possibly. We all have good musical ability, and instrumentals are the best way to show case those talents. That or talk boxes. BL: oh yeah, we all ordered talk boxes earlier this week. SL: Yeah, it's going to be great. We already have all the songs written around the use of a talk box.
RS: So you guys already have songs written? JL: I believe writing songs before going to record is the secret to success. That, and add tons of Impromptu soloing. EL: Impromptu soloing aren't that good. JL: I usually do my best on Impromptu solos. SP: Most of our songs have tons of soloage, but they all have atleast one key change and one meter change. Keeping our audience on edge at all times. SL: All of our songs are going to be long, long epic songs. Gotta stick to our Runtime Error roots. BL: And plenty of sax.
I really got no information about the band in the interview. Stay tuned til next week. | |

| ... I never said I wouldn't give up my tour. I've said in a real interview that I wanted a reunion, and that there will be one, sans Eifion in '09, the line-up that's been recording for a full day? God. | |

| The credability of the source has yet to be researched. However, Jelly Roll's little stint is real. What that actually means for the band will be researched. | |
