For christmas, I'm getting a new Bass Guitar. Should I get a 5-string Les Paul looking bass, or a 4 string Viola bass? so hard to decide...

My only real problem with the first two is the Bridge.

The white one is cool 'cuz it's a 24 fretter
Blue one has a cool finish
Sunburst on account of the bridge.

but you can go so much lower and stuff wow

anyway, final decision made, I picked the blue one.

But it was so hard to choose between the blue and sunburst. I liked the blue color better, but the bridge was kinda pushing me towards the Sunburst. But my dad talked to some big guitar people around the area who said that they preferred that more acoustic looking bridge for sound quality/tone, etc.

It should arrive by the end of the week!

Why!? Whats wrong with the extended range? It's not like people don't use a B or high C. I've never understood why people had such problems with 5string bass guitars? Give me explain.

...Why? The range added in one position is just like *censor* heaven with a B string, also unless you play with warm strings an open E cannot compare to a fretted one at all. Besides your failure isn't a basses failure.
